The Law Office of David D. White, PLLC has handled only criminal defense matters since 2004. No divorces. No personal injury. No estate planning. No family law. Every attorney at the firm focuses entirely on representing people accused of crimes in Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, Lee, Coryell, Bell, Milam, and Bastrop counties.
David White founded the firm in 2008 after four years of criminal defense practice. The decision to limit the firm to criminal defense was deliberate. Texas criminal procedure, Fourth Amendment doctrine, and trial practice in Travis and Williamson County courts reward focused practice.

The firm’s three attorneys work each case together through weekly case reviews and shared notes in Clio. When the attorney appears at your setting, they have been on your case from intake.
Coverage is by preference, not assignment. David White primarily handles Travis County matters from the Austin office. Taylor Kacir is in the Georgetown office every workday and primarily handles Williamson, Bell, Lee, Coryell, and Bastrop counties. Kenneth Hines primarily handles Travis, Hays, and Caldwell counties, and leads the firm’s expunction and nondisclosure practice. Milam County matters are handled by whichever attorney is available.
When a matter requires coverage outside an attorney’s primary territory, any of the three may handle it. The firm represents clients as a team, not as individual lawyers.
The firm’s working method is straightforward: obtain the police report, read the file in full, identify the state’s evidentiary weak points, and only then develop a strategy. Many clients have interviewed several attorneys before reaching the firm. Strategy proposed before discovery is read tends to drift once the file actually arrives, and that drift costs clients leverage at every stage of the case.
The recurring observation in more than 250 five-star client reviews across Google, Avvo, and other legal review platforms: David and the team read every case carefully before developing strategy.
Initial consultations are free and available in English and Spanish. Fees are flat, published in dollar amounts on the firm’s website, and disclosed in writing at the consultation. After-hours calls reach Kenneth or Taylor through the firm’s call routing system. Call (512) 369-3737 or use the contact form to schedule.

Strongly Recommend David White. I called David last August after my daughter got a minor in possession while away in college. My wife & I were terrified that this mistake might cost our daughter dearly. Luckily for us, we found David to take care of this for us. He walked us through the process during the initial free consultation. Several months later the case was dismissed and ultimately expunged. We cannot thank David enough for all his help in protecting our daughters future!
